Birmania, Aung San Suu Kyi in quarantena dopo contatti con persone positive al Covid

L’ex leader birmana Aung San Suu Kyi, agli arresti domiciliari da oltre un anno, in seguito al colpo di Stato che ha portato i militari al potere nel Myanmar, è in quarantena dopo che si sono verificati alcuni contagi da Covid 19 fra le persone del suo entourage, pur non essendo risultata positiva.  Da giovedi’ scorso, l’ex leader e premio Nobel per la pace nel 1991 non si è presentata in tribunale, dove sta affrontando vari processi accusata dai nuovi governanti di numerosi reati, dalla violazione di una legge sui segreti di Stato che risale all’epoca coloniale alla frode elettorale, dalla corruzione alla seduzione e all’incitazione ai disordini pubblici, ed è già stata condannata a sei anni.
